The Idea

Gorilla Rampage 2D is a fast-paced 2D browser game inspired by the viral “100 men vs gorilla” internet debate.

You play as a gorilla defending itself as waves of enemies rush in. The game focuses on timing, reactions, formations, and power-ups — all built with plain HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (no frameworks, no engines).

This is not just a game to play.
It’s a fully working, readable, modifiable game project you can learn from or build on.

  How to run the game (important)Because of modern browser security (CORS), you must run the game using a local server.

  2. Open the game folder in VS Code
  3. Install the Live Server extension (by Ritwick Dey)
  4. Right-click index.html → Open with Live Server
  5. The game opens in your browser with full sound support
